Air coolers
Air coolers are heat exchangers used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, in heat transfer processes as condensers or evaporators. The coolers are made of tube bundles arranged in bays, with two or more fans mounted on a steel structure.
The fin tubes which ensure the heat transfer can be manufactured by extruded or embedded fins from:
- Carbon steel;
- Copper;
- Stainless steel.
The main parameters defining these type of heat exchangers are:
- Number of horizontal or vertical row;
- Total surface of heat transfer;
- Air flow free surface;
Heat exchangers
- preheaters, evaporators
- hot water, overheating;
- fluid from technological processes;
- steam;
- mineral oil.
- coolers, condensers:
- air;
Cold water
pressure vessels
- reservoirs – operating at atmospheric pressure;
- pressure vessels – working under pressure or vacuum.
gas separators
for separating the methane from the water, and also two- phase/ three-phase separators for separating oil from water and gas.
This are horizontal or vertical tanks especially designed to remove and collect the solid and liquid impurities in the gas flow, and to protect pipes, equipment and devices that may be damaged because of contaminated gas.
In the case of gas separators (two- phase), separating is made by means of demister. In the case of gas- oil- water separators, separating is made by means of chicanes, demister or coalescer.
tube bundles
The internals most often replaced in a heat exchanger are the tube bundles. Depending on the construction of the heat exchanger, tube bundles can be:
- with floating cover;
- U-shaped;
- with fixed tube plates
Materials used:
Carbon Steel, Carbon Steel Alloy, Stainless Steel, Clad Steel (Monel), Duplex, Super Duplex, Cu-Ni Alloy etc.
